The Censor Board has banned the film “OMG 2,” starring Akshay Kumar, and it has been sent to the review committee for further assessment. The first installment of the movie had already generated a lot of controversy. According to reports, “OMG 2” revolves around the topic of sex education, which has been a subject of debate in India. While several organizations have advocated for the inclusion of sex education in schools, the matter remains contentious.

The bold content of the film has led to some actors, including Paresh Rawal, distancing themselves from the sequel. In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Rawal explained that he did not resonate with the story of “OMG 2.” He expressed contentment with his career and the characters he had portrayed, and did not wish to capitalize on past situations by participating in the sequel. Rawal also expressed his desire to be part of a sequel akin to “Lage Raho Munna Bhai.”

The teaser for “OMG 2” has been released online, showcasing Akshay Kumar in the role of Lord Shiva. The movie stars Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi in lead roles. There has been ongoing discussion about a film centered around sex education for children. However, if the review committee grants approval, the film will proceed with its release.

In order to ensure a smooth release without any controversies, the Censor Board has taken preemptive measures by sending “OMG 2” to the review committee. This step aims to address any potential issues related to dialogues and scenes in the film, particularly those involving God or religion. The decision to send movies dealing with such subjects for review is a precautionary measure implemented by the Censor Board, following the backlash faced by the film “Adipurush” due to its dialogues and visual effects quality.

The specific dialogues or scenes in “OMG 2” that raised concerns for the Censor Board are not yet known. The revision committee will assess the movie and make a final decision regarding its release.

Directed by Amit Rai, the film features Akshay Kumar portraying Lord Shiva. Additionally, “OMG 2” includes Yami Gautam, Pankaj Tripathi, and Arun Govil, known for his role in the television series “Ramayan.” The movie is scheduled to hit theaters on August 11. As a sequel to the 2012 hit film “OMG- Oh My God!,” this satirical comedy drama aims to entertain audiences once again.
